united states marine corp museum
a tribute to Mike Curtin
Michael Curtin was a Sergeant in the NYPD Emergency Service Unit and a Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corps. While recently passing the museum, Tony Cuccia and Tom Santisi decided to make a ‘short stop’ to see the exhibit that honors Mike. Both had worked with Mike in the NYPD. The following pictures depict that ‘short’, over three hours visit. The museum is basically laid out in a circle with displays on the sides. The rotunda has large dioramas and once you go through the entry door you are chronologically brought through the history of the Marine Corps. Outside there are gardens where various units dedicated plaques and statues to honor the Marine Heroes and the Corp. It is a trip well worth taking.
