REQUEST FOR PRAYERS

Sometimes, all it takes is just ONE PRAYER to change everything.

THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS OF OUR ASSOCIATION HAVE REQUESTED OUR PRAYERS
MAY THE LORD GRANT THEM COMFORT, STRENGTH AND HEALING DURING THEIR ORDEAL,
AND MAY THEIR LOVED ONES REMAIN FILLED WITH GOD’S LOVE AND HOPE.

The prayers by REMA members are requested for Mrs. Mary Novak who is currently in hospice. Mary’s late husband, Patrolman Frank J. Novak, had passed in July 2006 after his retirement in 1988. Frank served 40 years in the NYPD, 30 of which were spent in the Emergency Service Unit.
Please offer a prayer for Mary with a remembrance for our colleague Frank.

Prayer request from retired REMA member Det. Tony Favara
update 4/21/2022:

Antonio still gets a few minor seizures a week. Medication is working. His long term prognosis remains the same as more testing is being done. Let us continue to pray for Antonio and his family and that progress toward a cure is a reality.

Please keep my 1yo grandson Antonio in your prayers. The seizures and hospitalizations have become more frequent and the norm. Genetic testing has revealed an extremely rare condition called Dravet Syndrome. It’s not hereditary, a gene mutates for an unknown reason at about 10 mos old in children. It is relatively new and not much is known about it. Its not good and is extremely debilitating as time goes on and he is expected to deteriorate; there is also a 25% chance he will not survive🙏🙏🙏. As more develops I will pass it along.

THREE MEMBERS OF OUR REMA FAMILY THAT ARE UNDERGOING PERSONAL HEALTH OR HARDSHIP IN THEIR LIVES HAVE ALSO REQUESTED REMA PRAYERS. THESE COlLEAGUES HAVE ALSO REQUESTED THAT THEIR PRIVACY BE RESPECTED.
PLEASE PRAY FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS, COURAGE AND STRENGTH FOR THESE AND ALL MEMBERS IN NEED.
