Its been a sad week for the family of Joseph Esposito who passed away on Jan 8. On Monday thanks to the hard work by Det. John Blanco, David Cassato and Msgr Jamie Gigantiello. Chief Joseph Esposito was laid out inside Mt Carmel Church where at least 700 friends, former colleagues and officers that were not even on the job when he was the boss paid their respect. On Tuesday with the snow falling, former Mayors, Police Commissioners, members from NYPD, OEM, Buildings Dept, NYSP, FDNY, PAPD and NJ Transit Police lined 5th Ave to pay their respect to Espo, as he was known by.
He served the City for 50 years and today the City said goodbye.
