APRIL 19, 1963

On April 19, 1963, Patrolman Kenneth L. Cozier, Emergency Squad 3, with officers from the 4-2 Precinct,
carried a man on a stretcher from the 153rd Street subway station to the street,
after he was removed from the tracks, where his foot was trapped.

   Shortly afterward, Patrolman Cozier suffered a heart attack and did not recover.
