On April 15, 1968, while lifting heavy equipment in the Emergency Service garage,
PATROLMAN JOHN R BANKS, suffered a fatal heart attack.
He was transported to Jamaica Hospital where intensive life-saving efforts failed.
While defending the world’s freedom during World War Two, Patrolman Banks received a battlefield promotion to Lieutenant. At the time, he was fighting in the South Pacific.
