2025 REMA CHRISTMAS PARTY

AND HOLIDAY MEETING

DECEMBER 18, 2025

The end of year REMA Christmas party and Holiday meeting was held on December 18th at Vetro’s Restaurant and Lounge in Howard Beach, Queens. We had 71 members in attendance, down from last years 82. It was very nice to see new ‘old’ faces who came to their first or first in a long time, meeting. Great to see Don Thake and Chris Brauer, the George Washington Bridge saviors from 1980. The food was superb as usual, service first class and the company, well what can you say? It’s always an honor and pleasure to be around our brothers and sisters as we share laughs and stories from days past  Sadly no new stories this year, but that’s beating an old horse. We are putting that horse out to pasture. A grand experiment, we tried. And most of all we remembered our lost members. We maintain our vow to Never Forget, and we will keep that promise till the ‘last man’.

Coffee & Cake?
The wait staff was awesome and left nothing to be desired.
The party gets better every year.

Once again we Honored our friends and colleagues that are no longer with us by setting a ‘Table for One”.

We will always remember them in prayer and friendship.

The 32 inch TV door prize was won by retired Tk 1’er  Sgt. Gene O’Connor.
That’s two years in a row the door prize was taken home by an alumni of Truck 1.
As ‘someone’s’ wife said: “Who wants a 32″ TV now-a-days”?,
and after a few ‘complaints’, we are happy to announce
that next year the prize will be larger.

This year’s door prize. Marco was overheard saying to Sully,
“I can finally give the kids a wedding gift”.

So, enjoy the pictures and a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year to all!

If you have pictures of the luncheon to share, feel free to send them to us and they’ll be added here.
