2023 REMA CHRISTMAS PARTY

AND HOLIDAY MEETING

DECEMBER 14, 2023

The end of year REMA Christmas party and Holiday meeting was held on December 14th at Vetro’s Restaurant and Lounge in Howard Beach, Queens. We had 80 people RSVP and with a few cancellations and a few surprise guests we had 80 in attendance. Thank you all for RSVP’ing as it make our count, and the cost, more accurate. Being a Russo’s venue you know the Italian buffet was excellent and enjoyed by all, especially the cake . . .

with the REMA logos. The wait staff was awesome and left nothing to be desired.
The party gets better every year.

Once again we Honored our friends and colleagues that are no longer with us by setting a ‘Table for One”.

We will always remember them in prayer and friendship.

The 32 inch TV door prize was won by retired Tk 1’er (6,7 and 8 as well) PO James Kennedy. We are sure that his son ‘Sgt. Bill’ will enjoy watching reruns of “True Blue” on the big screen Smart TV.

Lot’s of donated raffle prizes helped to spread the holiday spirit. REMA member Gerry Lennon, (no Al, he is not related to John), displayed three poster size frames filled with various ESU and Truck patches. Thank you Gerry for the tremendous time and effort you put into creating the display. It shows your respect and admiration for the history of ESU. We all look forward to seeing more of your collection in the future.

A motion was put forth to make Tk 2 canine, Mojo, the REMA mascot. Voices rang out asking ‘What about Bud’ of Tk 8 fame. Well he was voted out by 14 stitches! Mojo’s latest appearance, actually 17 appearances, can be seen in the 2024 REMA calendar.

So, enjoy the pictures and a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year to all!

If you have pictures to share, feel free to send them to us and they’ll be added here.
