WHO WE ARE
The Retired and Active Emergency Service Members Association of the NYPD (REMA) is an organization made up of members of the law enforcement community, along with their friends and families. Currently there are close to 700 members.
REMA is a group that looks after it’s own, both physically and mentally, by reaching out during times of need: “any time . . . anywhere . . . any way!’ It’s our creed. It’s our mission.
PURPOSE
REMA strives to PRESERVE our past, HONOR our traditions and REMEMBER our fallen. We do so by passing on the traditions and stories of past and current members of the Emergency Service Unit. We especially respect and honor the memory of our brother and sister officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We do so through the sponsoring of the annual NYPD Special Operations Bureau’s annual Day of Remembrance. ‘We will never forget!’
REMA is a not-for-profit, private corporation supported by its members’ dues, contributions, and the sale of REMA related merchandise. Visit our “Contact Us” page to email us.
