Detective Mike Hanson, ESU passed away in 2018. A First Responder to the World Trade Center search and recovery, he was afflicted with rare illnesses not attributed to the months he worked at Ground Zero. The fight continues by his loving and devoted wife Cathy and his family. in any case, Mike was a fixture in ESU, from assistant chef of his STS class, a member of the trucks, and being a teacher of the ‘old guys and the new kids’ of ESU. He also followed in the footsteps of his father John, also of ESU. We pray for Mike’s family and for him to have eternal peace. We won’t forget you Mike.
