HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMERGENCY SERVICE UNIT
ESTABLISHED APRIL 10, 1930
From the rear cover of the 2016 REMA calendar. (the April 1, 1930 date is incorrect and should be April 10. 1930)
The command log entry for April 10, 1930. Note the entries are not in military style. Of special note are the entries of Sgt. George Nadler. On February 1, 1935 he was killed in the line of duty at the scene of an explosion in Brooklyn, New York. May he and all our forefathers rest in peace, with the knowledge that their work laid the foundation for what Emergency Service is today, 92 years later.
