REMA DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
The 20th annual Day of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023. The day begins at 1000 hrs at the Aviation hangar located at Floyd Bennett Field with a light breakfast. An air/sea rescue demo will begin at 1100. The Memorial ceremonies will start at 1200. Food will be served after the ceremony. *
Special Operations units will be on hand throughout the day with static displays by Emergency Service, Aviation, Harbor, SCUBA, Mounted and K9, demonstrating their equipment, vehicles, and capabilities.
The Special Operations Bureau’s Memorial Plaque, designed by REMA and debuted last year, will be available for viewing.
Music by the NYPD Band and The Pipes & Drums Of The Emerald Society of the New York City Police Department.
A big day is planned. Don’t miss out.
