This year the REMA Day of Remembrance will be combined with the 20th commemoration of 9/11. In addition to the reading of the Names by retired Lieutenant Al Baker, an active member of ESU, corresponding to the Emergency Squad that lost a member/s on 9/11, will also read the name/s.

The day begins at 1000 hrs at the Aviation hangar at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn New York. The Commemorative ceremony will begin at noon. All events will be outdoors. Food will be served after the ceremony. Displays by various Special Operations units will be on hand throughout the day. This year we expand the reading with the addition of the Mounted Unit and Borough Task Forces.
